If you are a blog reader you already know – around here, we simply LOVE visiting Uruguay. But after the Covid-19 pandemic, the destination has become even more attractive to Brazilians.

Punta del Este

In truth, once you go to Punta, you discover that the majority of summer vacationers are middle class – the rich are only a minority and are isolated in their “balls” of glamour!

Hotel Blu Inn – The team is very friendly and has a friendly face to help – they give good advice for the walks and on the beaches. Also, the location is wonderful, close to beaches, restaurants, markets and exchange houses. To leave space, the indication is the Quarter Triplo, which has an excellent cost-benefit ratio. The owners, Alfredo and Belen, are always at the reception and ready for anything guests need! The coffee is delicious!

Bonne Etoile – It is located about 100 meters from the main avenue of Punta, Avenida Gorlero – it is easy to go to some beaches, such as Praia Mansa, and it is also close to everything you may need (restaurant, pharmacy, supermarket…) . The beds are comfortable and the coffee is simple, simple. But, for those who want to save money, it is an excellent request without losing anything or comfort! Everything is very clean!

Hotel Milano – Located just 50 meters from Praia El Emir, in Punta del Este, Hotel Milano offers rooms with free and air-conditioned WiFi. Clean and impeccable and service by two excellent staff. Além disso, the hotel is located in an area with easy access for optimal cost-benefit. And because it is very simple, we have a pleasant pousada face (with great bed and clothes!).

Hotel Alhambra – Perfect location, just two minutes walk from Avenida Gorlero, the main street of Punta del Este. The attendants are very friendly, the beds are comfortable and there is a great resto-bar next door! Quite comfortable, with impeccable cleanliness! In addition, the hotel is close to shopping centers, beaches, Mansa Beach and Brava Beach, and offers free beach chains and sunshades for guests.

Hotel Romimar – The Hotel Romimar is located just 2 rooms from Praia Los Ingleses, and offers a covered swimming pool, academy, as well as elegant accommodations in Punta del Este. Excellent service from everyone and a clean hotel. And besides being very close to traffic in the center of Punta, we have a very good coffee!

Montevideu

The Uruguayan capital is a place where contradictions coexist peacefully: nostalgia and modernity, tradition and novelties… Charming and always welcoming, a capital to be lived in all its fullness and, where antiques and classic architecture are present, a super travel destination .

See the sun from the Rio da Prata, walk along the Ramblas (avenues surrounded by the curves and cuts of the river), see the Old City and the cultural attractions of the Solis Theater and the Arts Museum… Well, it's just amazing. deu saudades!

Sur Hotel – Excellent location and customer-benefit relationship. Guests are usually welcomed by the owner in the hotel, despite being simple, super clean and welcoming. The hotel is located about 500 meters from Praça Cagancha and is ideal for those who would like to visit the Uruguayan capital on foot! For those who want more comfort, the Duplo Deluxe Room has a hydromassage bathtub and is cute! Contudo, para quem leva mals grandees, um porém: for operating a historic property, the hotel does not have elevators!

Palace Hotel – With large windows and views of the city, the rooms of Hotel Palacio are very spacious, with charming furniture and parquet floors. But it does not stop the time: all the items are heating, fans and private bathroom. The hotel is also in the best location, most suitable for Plaza Indepencia and Old City. Oxford Hotel – In the heart of the center of Montevidéu, just a quarter away from the bustle of Avenida 18 de Julio, the Oxford Hotel has a spacious lobby with elegant decoration and excellent Wi-Fi signal. Klee Hotel – Perfect location, right on the main street and with easy access to Montevidéu's public transport – the hotel is between the bus station and the boat station. Despite the central unit, it is very quiet and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is quite helpful – ask for information and advice about the city, they will give you excellent information! The price is excellent!

Alvear Hotel – More an excellent customer-benefit relationship with an excellent central location in Montevidéu, one block from Avenida 18 de Julio. Lots of coffee, good Wi-Fi signal and staff always ready to help!

Colonia del Sacramento

The city, founded by the Portuguese in 1680, is a truly wonderful destination: stone streets, antique houses, historic cars and a remarkable history… Colonia is a great destination where everyone can relax and also rest in a quiet place and eat well. Its colonial past is enchanting and linked to the signs of the most charming streets – in short, Colonia was disputed with Spain because it was only a few years old and was developed for tourism from the 20th century onwards.

Devil's Point

The fishermen's beach is a favorite of the gaúchos – but it is not customary to have anything from “muvuca” itself – as the center becomes more stressed, the beaches can be even deserted during the high season. So much the best for the season – Punta del Diablo is the ideal place to relax and live life without worries. But if you call it a Reveillón holiday, you will still find a lot of people, crowds and lines everywhere!

Unique Hotel & Suites – Perfect location with a view of the sea. Between the beaches of Pescador and Del Rivero, with easy access to the center and the beach. Very comfortable, with extremely clean accommodations. There, it is important to say that the pets who live in the hotel, everyone is very well taken care of by the owner Beatriz, who is always ready to help the guests. MarAdentro Apart Hotel & Suites (old Marisma) – It is located in front of Praia de La Viuda, offering a privileged location by the sea and a swimming pool. The property has brightly lit accommodations with free Wi-Fi and elegant decoration in a Praiano style in three quarters of the center of Punta del Diablo.
