Health

Have you ever heard about the military diet? Find out what it is, how it works and the menu you should follow when jumping into this practice.

There are dozens of diets out there, waiting to be tested. Often, women prefer to opt for emergency ones, which promise a large weight reduction in a short space of time. Among these, one of the most discussed is the military diet.

It is often used for special occasions. Like a wedding, where you’ll need to get into that dress anyway, or that surprise trip to the beach in a month.

Also called the three-day diet, it promises to lose a lot of kilos in just a few days – from three days to a week. Do you want to know a little more about the military diet? The Women’s Area tells you.

Military Diet

Everything you need to know about the military diet!

The military diet is a very short-term eating plan, which can lead to the loss of three kilos in three days or five kilos in one week. The extremely restrictive diet is capable of accelerating metabolism due to the combination of foods that encourage fat burning through a calorie deficit.

In the military diet, only the three standard meals are allowed, such as breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is not permitted to eat food during these meal breaks. She should not exceed the programmed time, taking breaks for the equivalent time that the diet lasted, and only then starting again. Furthermore, it is recommended that you only do this for a month.

It works?

The military diet works, however, it depends on your point of view. If you need quick weight loss, it is more than ideal. This means that it works in the short term. But if the objective is nutritional re-education, the military diet is not even close to ideal.

It does not offer the necessary nutrients for the body and, due to the reduction in fat, soon after the end of the “marathon”, your body will beg for carbohydrates and sugars with the intention of “replacing” what it lost. Therefore, after the diet, the chance of you gaining twice as much weight is high.
