Fried Okra Without Baba

Sauces and Salads

My beautiful people who follow me on Instagram (follow @Panelaterapia) saw me saying that I go through a phase of wanting okra every day, because that’s just how I am, I go through phases of loving certain foods and I’m in the #okiabolove phase. So I decided to make this post to teach you the recipe, which is the easiest in the world!

Let’s face it, this okra isn’t photogenic at all, but it’s so delicious! It stays dry and drool-free. I call it “fried” okra but it really isn’t because it uses very little fat. I do like this:

I wash and dry the okra well. I cut it into slices, I like to cut it halfway diagonally, but then you cut it however you want. The thinner the slices, the faster it is ready. I add a drizzle of oil or olive oil to the non-stick frying pan. I think about 2 tablespoons or so for a large frying pan like mine. Then I add the okra (you don’t even need to heat the oil beforehand) and stir over medium heat non-stop until they are golden brown. It has to be really black, with a burnt look. That’s how I like it.

During this process he will release all the drool and it will dry, in the end he will be left without any drool. Then just add salt and serve. Okra has a wonderful flavor
