This filling is wonderful! It can be used to make pies, baked rice, fill esfiha or coxinha, use as a sauce for pasta or lasagna or make the best ham sandwich ever! You can make a larger quantity and freeze it, it lasts 3 months easily in the freezer. But here at home we never have time to freeze. It ends quickly!!!
The ingredients are:
500g of pork shank, cut into not too large cubes (the smaller the cut, the more tender it will be);
2 spoons of olive oil;
1 onion;
2 garlic cloves;
1/2 yellow pepper;
1 tomato without skin and seeds;
1 col. tomato paste (soup);
1 col. (soup) of vinegar;
1 bay leaf;
300ml of water;
1 cabbage (chá) of salt;
1 col. green scented (soup);
1 col. paprika (soup) (natural coloring);
Mozzarella cheese to taste.
