Created in 1947 by Rose Repetto as a store that sold ballet shoes, strategically located close to the Opéra, today Repetto also sells everyday models, known worldwide and considered the most comfortable “ever”.
In 1956, the designer created, at the request of Brigitte Bardot, the sneaker known as the cedrillon, which was immortalized on the feet of the French muse because of the film “And God Created Woman”. More glamour, impossible. Since then, models have been launched in partnership with great designers, such as Issey Miyake and Karl Lagerfeld.

Repetto has already made more than a thousand pairs of ballet shoes, all handcrafted. With an indispensable detail: to this day, the Paris Opéra corps de ballet continues to use the brand’s models.
In addition to shoes, the store also offers 252 different shades of socks for dancers, as well as all types of accessories used in dancing. Needless to say, the store, which operates at the same address, is beautiful and always packed!
This year, Repetto created a training school for artisans in Dordogne, in the southwest of France, which in six months prepares professionals to make a sneaker.
The next novelty is the perfume that the brand will launch next year and which, according to its president, should be “poetic, glamorous and ultra feminine”. Let’s wait!
