MTV Miaw 2022 was marked by incredible presentations and tributes, as well as generating numerous controversies during and after the event.
The last MTV Meow it happened on July 26th, in the city of São Paulo. Otherwise, the presenters were actress Camila Queiroz and Singer Xamãin which they enriched the broadcast with charisma and friendliness.
In principle, the MTV Millennial Awards (MTV Miaw) is an annual Brazilian award organized and broadcast by MTV Brasil, inspired by the Mexican version. Furthermore, the purpose of the award is pay homage to favorites in pop culture, such as music, entertainment and the digital world. Likewise, the first edition of the MTV Miaw award was broadcast on May 23, 2018.
Thus, The main winners were Jão in the Best Album category with “Pirata”, Manu Gavassi, Best Clip for “Bossa Nova” and Ludmilla won Musical Artist. What happened on the last MTV Miaw?
The presentations of the fifth edition of MTV Miaw They featured big names, such as Luísa Sonza, Pedro Sampaio, Skank, Zakes Bantwini, Jão, Matuê and Mc Pedrinho.
Firstly, the artists FBC & VHOOR rocked the PInk Carpet with a Ball performance. Next, DJ Pedro Sampaio and MC Pedrinho presented the song of the year “Dançarina”, followed by artists such as Jão and Xamã presenting a new feat with Sakes Bantwini.
Finally, Luísa Sonza and Ludmilla presented their hit songs and also their feat “Café da Manhã”.
Firstly, the singer MC soffia vented on her social network about not having access to the awards box, in which she was nominated. Likewise, she concluded by saying that other artists and celebrities were seated in different sectors of the public. However, it had to remain in the same public sector.
Inclusive, o DJ Gabriel do Borel, nominated in the “Anthem of the Year” and “Immersive Choreography” categories with SentaDONA, exposed the neglect suffered at the event. “It’s sad for such a wonderful event to sin like this in the organization” he said on social media.
On the other hand, people nominated for the awards were not invited to the awards ceremony. For example, ex-BB Rizia vented on Twitter about being nominated in the “Black Star Rising” category, but was not invited to the ceremony.
Furthermore, Tata Estaniecki and Bruna Unzueta from the “PodDelas” podcast also complained about this neglect, exposing on the networks that they were left off the guest list.
O kiss between Gkay and Bianca Andrade starred in the event, drawing wild screams from the audience. In fact, it all started with Gkay questioning why people think she doesn’t kiss anyone in public, resulting in an unusual request from Bianca.
In the same way, “Porta dos Fundos” and Ludmilla, both celebrating 10 years of career and success, won honors. In the case of “Porta dos Fundos”, actors Antonio Tabet, Rafael Portugal and Estevam Nabote took to the stage dressed as important characters from the channel.
