Tips for organizing a Halloween party

Controversies aside, the fact is that this traditional festival from abroad ended up entering our calendar too and, therefore, on October 31st, Halloween is officially celebrated.

And now the windows of costume shops, as well as candy shops and supermarkets are already displaying themed products to celebrate the most terrifying party on the calendar, also called the Halloween party.

Invitations

How about sending out invitations so guests can get into the Halloween party spirit? And at this time, don’t skimp on creativity.

Invest in the typical colors of this party: black, orange, white and purple, but don’t stick too closely to the rules, play with the format of the invitation using elements typical of this date, witch’s hat, coffin, pumpkin…

Decoration

Bet on the typical elements of the date, and the tip is to start right at the entrance to create the atmosphere of the Halloween party…

…fill orange balloons with helium gas (so they float) and decorate them with skull drawings made with black markers…

…invest in a lot of orange, black, purple and white, which are the colors of Halloween, and the tip is to let your imagination go and get your hands dirty, if you don’t want to invest in ready-made decorations.

Hang witches, bats, and pumpkin pictures on the walls, starting at the door. It’s even worth hanging phrases like ‘Welcome to the worst night of your lives’!

How about a Boo! of pumpkins? To do this, cut at the top, making a kind of lid, and remove all the contents from inside. Then make the balls on the outside. Place a candle inside, and cover the pumpkins again.

Complement the Halloween party decoration with spider webs that you can make yourself, using black crochet thread. Turn your house into a haunted mansion.

How about that brain on the table at the Halloween party? It’s super easy to make, all you need is a watermelon, peel it and cut it in half, and make little mazes on the side.

Ghost in a sheet… it will never go out of style, after all, it is irresistible! To make it, just put a really evil face on it and fill it with yellow flashing lights underneath, and it’s worth making several to scatter around your Halloween decorations!

And how about this bunch of worms? Disgusting, right? But that’s the goal, to make it, just gather straws with folds, secure them all with an elastic band and close one side with tape. Then, place everyone standing inside a glass. Make strawberry jelly, pour it into straws and put it in the fridge. Anyway, when they are hard, cut the straws, thus having a lot of “worms”…yuck!!

You know those bullets shaped like dentures? They can’t be missed, leave the sweets lying on the table. The effect is really cool!

Show a horror movie

Even if no one sees or pays attention, a tip that helps a lot to create the atmosphere is to put on a horror film and leave it on television. Even though there’s music at the Halloween party, it’s cool to have a terrifying movie playing where everyone can see it.

Tablecloth

If you’re having a Halloween party with tables, the tip is to opt for TNT, a super cheap fabric that has a really cool color palette. Play with the colors black, orange or even purple. If there are several small tables, the tip is to decorate the center of the tables with a pumpkin (real or artificial).

Drinks

Drinks such as sangria and the Italian aperol spritz are also easy to make and have reddish and orange colors, in the colors of Halloween.
