Kosushi in Miami

The new Kosushi restaurant in Miami

The environment, designed by renowned Brazilian architect Arthur Casas, is modern and cozy, with lots of wood. The room is anchored by a round sushi bar, in the center, where customers can see all the sushi being prepared. Furthermore, inspired by Japanese carpentry, Arthur created wooden structures with intricate joints, without glue or metal supports. In other words, the meeting of ancient Japanese technique with modern and contemporary design!

The menu

Kosushi Miami reproduces chef George Koshoji’s cooking style, under the rigorous eye of executive chef Edwin Delgado. On the menu, classic dishes from the Japanese restaurant, such as Dyo ikura Quail, which contains tuna, shari (Japanese rice) with quail egg yolk and ikura roe, and Avocado Tuna Temaki, with tuna, avocado and massago roe. I ordered a King Crab Truffle, with truffle butter and pink salt, which was delicious!

The story of Kosushi

Created by Carlos Augusto Carvalho and chef George Koshoji, it appeared in 1988 in a small door in the Ipiranga neighborhood in SP. In other words, unlike the gastronomic scene at the time, where the concentration of oriental cuisine was in the Liberdade neighborhood. Since 1990, he moved to Itaim. Currently, it also has a unit in Shopping Cidade Jardim.
