  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons of flaxseed
  • Oil
  • Aromatic herbs to taste
  • Pink salt or black pepper to taste

Let the broccoli, cauliflower, herbs and salt cook in the water until softened. Then blend everything in a blender until you get a cream. Return the cream to the pan and heat it again, add a few drops of lemon. When it is hot again, sprinkle pepper, linseed and drizzle with olive oil.

What are negative calories?

Negative calories are foods with reduced caloric value, that is, they have very few calories.

The term emerged in the United States, because according to some researchers, these foods, because they have no fat and very few carbohydrates, require more calories to be metabolized than the food itself has.

In other words, they have fewer calories than your body uses for digestion. “It is a caloric fraction intended for digestion and metabolization itself, which is also called the thermal effect”, explains nutritionist Liliane Oppermann.

These are some foods with negative calories:

  • Vegetables A: lettuce, cabbage, spinach, bertalha, eggplant, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, celery, turnip, asparagus, watercress, cucumber, garlic…
  • Vegetable B: grated carrot (higher yield and more fiber than cooked), green beans and zucchini
  • Fruits: mainly purplish red ones – strawberries, jabuticaba, raspberries, berries, melon, watermelon (fruits that contain a lot of water) apple, grapefruit.
