Kale juice for gastritis and stomach burning

Illnesses

Kale juice is a good option for relieving burning sensation and other symptoms of gastritis, because it contains glucosinolates, vitamin C, beta-carotene and catechins, bioactive compounds with anti-inflammatory properties, helping with healing and relieving stomach pain.

Kale juice also contains alkaloids, bioactive compounds that help balance stomach acids, helping to treat gastritis. Furthermore, to alleviate the burning sensation, it is also recommended to maintain a healthy and varied diet. See how to go on a diet to relieve the burning sensation.

Despite helping to alleviate the symptoms of gastritis, this home remedy should not replace the treatment recommended by the doctor, and should only be used as a complement. Find out how gastritis is treated.

How to make

To make this juice, just use some kale leaves, apple and water.

Ingredients:

  • 3 kale leaves;
  • 1 ripe apple with skin;
  • ½ glass of filtered or boiled water;

Preparation mode:

Wash the cabbage leaves and apple well. Chop the cabbage into large pieces and the apple into cubes. Place all the ingredients in the blender and blend until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Strain and drink afterwards.

Ginger can also be added to this juice, because this root contains chogaol and zingerone, bioactive compounds with anti-inflammatory and carminative action that reduce stomach acidity, making it a good option to help combat the burning sensation.

Other tips to reduce the burning sensation in your stomach

To reduce stomach burning, it is important to follow the gastroenterologist’s instructions, who may recommend the use of medicines, such as aluminum or magnesium hydroxide or omeprazole, for example.

Furthermore, other tips that can also help relieve the burning sensation in your stomach are:

  • Avoid fatty foods, such as French fries, sausage, butter, pizza and hot dogs;
  • Avoid caffeinated drinks, such as coffee, black tea and chocolate;
  • Eating several times a day, dividing meals into small portions, every 2 or 3 hours, and avoiding overeating;
  • Avoid alcoholic drinks, such as beer, wine and sparkling wine
  • Practice physical activity regularly, but avoid isometric exercises, such as planks.

Another tip to relieve burning in the stomach is to sleep on your left side, as this will prevent the acidic contents of the stomach from returning to the esophagus and causing a burning sensation and discomfort.

Furthermore, drinking some teas such as ginger, espinheira-santa or fennel tea have anti-inflammatory and antacid properties, also helping to reduce the burning sensation. Discover other teas that relieve burning.
