During my stay in Austin, TexasI stayed at Fairmont and I left delighted! Centrally located, it has a complete infrastructure, with cozy rooms, several restaurants, spa and swimming pool. With a classic design but with modern touches, the luxury hotel in Austin brings together sophistication, elegance, as well as great service. Location
The Fairmont Austin has an exquisite location, and is walking distance of bars and restaurants on Rainy Street, as well as some of the city’s main attractions, such as the Capitol. In fact, take the opportunity to read here about what to do in Austin!
Luxury hotel in Austin
The lobby, very well lit and spacious, has high ceilings, marble floors and contemporary touches such as blue walls and modern design chandeliers. This is where the Fulton lounge bar is located, always busy, and with a beautiful, illuminated tree in the center. Open throughout the day, it offers quicker meals and a good drinks menu.
On the terrace is the swimming pool, with sun loungers in the water and 14 exclusive cabanas for those who want more privacy. In addition, the luxury hotel in Austin also has one of the largest spas in the city, with nine treatment rooms, hot tub, steam room, sauna, fitness center and salon.
The rooms
There are 1048 rooms and suites spread across the hotel’s 37 floors. The decoration follows the same lines as the common areas, with a fusion of classic luxury with modern lines and light woods. Mine had two beds, TV, desk, minibar, closet with robes, and Nespresso coffee maker.
The icing on the cake was the beautiful urban view we had from the window! Meanwhile, the bathroom also had a good amount of space, with LeLabo amenities.
Additionally, exclusive Fairmont Gold guests have access to the Golden Lounge, open from 7am to 10pm, with food and drinks available, as well as breakfast in a more private space. Just a luxury!
The gastronomy
It’s certainly a highlight at this luxury Austin hotel. After all, there are three restaurant options and two bars! Revue, for example, where breakfast is served, has communal tables and a menu inspired by Italian and Asian cuisine, with local ingredients. Right next door is Good Things, a cafe that offers sandwiches and lighter snacks, ideal for those who want to grab and go.
Garrison, open only for dinner, specializes in grilled meat and seafood, under the command of executive chef Jakub Czyszczon. And on the seventh floor is the Rules & Regs bar, also only open at night.
So, a complete luxury hotel in Austin that I certainly recommend!
