By Koji: new Japanese in Vila Conceição

South America

We know that Japanese cuisine in São Paulo is fantastic! From traditional restaurants to the most contemporary and original, there are options for all tastes. On my last visit to the city, I took the opportunity to visit the newest Japanese restaurant in Vila Conceição, By Koji. Under the command of chef Koji Yokomizo, this is the group’s fourth restaurant, which already has two units in Morumbi and another in Lisbon! However, this time, the proposal is more intimate, with capacity for 50 seats, in a contemporary environment. In fact, a great place for those who appreciate authentic Japanese cuisine, with its very fresh fish.

The menu is the same as other restaurants, but smaller. Chef Koji, known and respected for his ability to personally choose the best fish, brings traditional Japanese cuisine but with contemporary elements! Therefore, on the menu we find a wide variety of fish, such as salmon belly, blue fin and buri (bull’s eye). Therefore, in addition to sushi and sashimi, there are also other cold and hot preparations, such as yakimonos (grilled), menrui (noodles) and aguemono (fried foods).
