Travel instructions and visits to Chilean wineries
O Chile is a fascinating destination, to be appreciated a few years and more than a trip. Its geography of extremes, located between the Pacific and the Cordilheiras dos Andes, guarantees its visitors one of the most cenographic trips of the entire continent. The country is huge, with desert in the north and mountains in the south, but to visit the wine regions, you do not need to walk more than 200 kilometers. Seventh world producer of wine, fifth largest exporter of the product, or country developing labels celebrated by sommeliers and renowned critics.
Our roteiro started in the Chilean capital, Santiago, which manages to enchant with a unique visual, surrounded by mountains that can often be seen logo there, on the door of the hotel. Born in a big city, there is a certain European influence mixed with its fun Latin roots, which marks any tourist. Depois, we leave for Praia de Carob treewhere we are staying to visit Pablo Neruda's third house, which is in Black Island (also off the Chilean coast).
Next, our focus is as wineries. We had just taken a trip with a focus on wine tourism and gastronomy to Mendoza (Argentina), besides staying in a region of Brazil that produced some of the best wines and sparkling wines from Brazil – confirm our information about the Vale dos Vinhedos, in the Serra Gaúcha. More returning to Chile: we visited the Casas del Bosque and Matetic wineries (Casablanca Valley), Viu Manent, Viña Montes and Clos Apalta (all of these not in the Colchágua Valley).

Visit wineries
If you plan to visit Chile to taste and eat at wineries, or wineries, it is important to ALWAYS schedule a visit time and also reserve your lunch or dinner. The search is always very large and many wineries are super long from Santiago, not worth running over the cliff to catch the eye and face the door. All wineries charge per tasting and many offer different types and also different qualities of wines for tasting. As is, in order to just try good wines, there is no “necessity” to buy the products from the winery.
