We love traveling, but we can’t always be on the road. We collect a lot of travel souvenirs, but we don’t always know what to do with them. How about combining souvenirs and the desire to travel to decorate your home with a travel theme, saving good memories and inspiring yourself for your next trips around the world?
In this text, we have separated 10 travel-themed decoration ideas for the bedroom, living room and office. We also included a topic just with suggestions for decorating a children’s room with a round the world theme.
For travel-themed decoration inspiration, I used Pinterest (see our folder with decoration ideas) and Amazon*. I chose things that can be adapted in a “Do It Yourself” style or purchased at a good price.

A Galery Wall is a space where you can combine different paintings and objects, whether or not you mix different frames and types of art in the composition. In the case of the travel theme, you can combine photos of yourself with maps, art, postcards, in short, the sky is the limit.

2. Map Wall Stickers
Another good travel themed decoration solution for the bedroom, living room or office are stickers. There are a multitude of models, they are relatively easy to nail and serve both as the decoration itself and as the basis for a different project.
For example, a historic or old map looks great in an office:

5. Travel-themed bedding
This is one of the easiest to do on the entire list! Just buy the bedding and add that traveling touch to your room.

One way to make this project more creative is to choose bedding with less obvious prints, like this one with “I love you” in different languages or the New York Times headlines.
6. Travel themed wallpaper
If you have more space, like a boring white wall at home, then a roll of wallpaper could be the perfect solution to liven up the room. Some ideas:

7. Themed door sticker
I came up with an idea that I had never had, but discovered in my searches on Amazon. If you don’t have that much space at home, perhaps decorating your door with a travel theme would be the touch your home needed. For example, this is a great idea for the bathroom door:

8. Watches

You can do it with different types of watches, the classic, this more modern and elegant version or a fun, round-the-world version.
