Basha

At the Lebanese and vegetarian Basha, in Copacabana, the highlight is Café Arabic (R$8). Also called Turkish coffee, it is served individually and prepared using classic methods, in a long-handled pot called an Ibrik. In it, extra-finely ground grains are added to be infused in boiling water. Therefore, in addition to being traditional, the grounds left in the cup are also part of Arabic culture for readings.

Café ao Léu

The coffee shop in Copacabana has already been voted the best coffee in Rio by Veja Rio. There, we find micro roasters of specialty coffees. The 250g packages come from small Brazilian producers, such as Serra do Caparaó, in Espírito Santo. Barista Leo Gonçalves, owner of Café ao Léu, became one of these producers, and highlights his own coffee in the house. The menu contains all the details of the producer, the altitude at which they are located, the coffee process and the variety.
