THE HOUSE OF MURMURLS
This place is not a simple restaurant, but it is the home of the French chef Patrick Cros, who has lived in the country for almost 25 years. Without a doubt, it is one of the most surprising options for where to eat in Campeche. The host opens its doors only to invited visitors or those who make reservations in advance.

Chef Patrick Cros
This colonial mansion in the historic center has a very peculiar decor, all with antiques collected on his travels, as well as more than 300 candles and a live pianist playing. The experience includes all drinks (various Mexican wines, drinks and liqueurs) and a five-step menu, which starts with starters such as escargot and ceviche.
The dinner itself includes a starter, main course and two desserts. The menu is sent to customers in advance, created according to their tastes. Among the options served on the day of our visit were: gaspacho mango with crab legs, sea bass fillet and epazote risotto (erva-de-santa-maria), a delicious beef rib cooked for 24 hours with corn crust and spices, strawberry with tequila syrup (with meringue and chili caramel), in addition to the second dessert: brownie of chocolate.
The average price is US$150 per person, but it largely depends on the number of dinner participants. The more people, the cheaper it is.
