Opened in the 70s, the museum tells the history of aviation and brings aircraft replicas used at different times. In addition to having one of the largest collections of rockets and aircraft in the world, the site serves as a research center.

The museum is one of the most visited in the world: around 9 million people annually. It is one of children’s favorite tourist spots in the city, as in one of the spaces, they teach children about gravity and show how a plane is capable of flying.

Another must-see attraction at the Washington Air and Space Museum is the “Google Earth” immense space that the visitor can control using a remote control. It is possible to travel to every corner of the world and even find your home. There is also the possibility of taking a tour of the Moon and Mars.

The museum also has fun experiments, rocket replicas and interesting facts about the Solar system. By the way, do you know how an astronaut survives in space? You can experience it there. On a tour of a ship, you can understand how they eat, bathe and where they keep everything they need.

If you have time and don’t mind spending, there are options for simulators (which turn upside down) and a planetary. There is also a store full of products linked to the space (I confess that I didn’t find anything very interesting and I was willing to buy at least one souvenir for myself) and a MC Donalds (no wifi, to my sadness).
