After choosing the best restaurants in the country, it’s time for Casual Exame to bring together the 100 best bars in Brazil! Certainly a difficult task for the jury made up of 61 renowned critics and influencers specialized in the subject, such as, for example, our editor-in-chief Renata Araújo and this one who speaks to you, Duda Vétere, assistant editor of the site. Each expert named ten bars of their preference, in no order of importance. The big winner was Tan Tan, a noodle bar in São Paulo, which, in fact, was the only one in the country listed for the award The World’s 50 Best Bars. Completing the podium are two more bars in the capital, Santana, in Pinheiros, and speakeasy SubAstor. O Top 10

In fourth place is Guarita (SP), an unpretentious bar by mixologist Jean Ponce created with Australian chef Greigor Caisley. Already tied for fifth, there are the Instagrammable Bar dos Arcos (SP), under the Theatro Municipal, Koya88 (SP), which mixes Asian elements with the New York industrial style, and MiniBarGem, in Salvador, by chef Fabrício Lemos and his wife, pastry chef Lisiane Arouca.

The intimate The Punch Bar (SP), by Nisei Ricardo Tooru Miyazaki secured eighth place. And completing the Top 10 we have two tied from Rio! Nosso, a gastrobar in Ipanema by chef Bruno Katz and bartender Daniel Estevan, and the classic Galeto Sat’s, which recently won the title of Carioca Cultural Heritage.

100 best bars in Brazil

Among the best bars in Brazil are also Seen (SP), a trendy rooftop on the 23rd floor of the Tivoli Mofarrej hotel, and Bar da Dona Onça, by chef Janaína Rueda, in the center of SP. Both occupy 15th place! Tied for 21st place were Liz Cocktails & Co (RJ), in charming Dias Ferreira, and Chanchada (RJ), which opened at the beginning of this year in Botafogo. Indeed, great places to add to your list if you haven’t already!

And there are more Cariocas on the list! In the Center, the informal Labuta, by Lucio Vieira and Mateus Siqueira, and Bracarense, a classic in Leblon, tied for 29th place. As is Boteco Rainha, by award-winning chef Pedro de Artagão, which is certainly a success at Dias Ferreira.

Meanwhile, outside the Rio-SP axis, Vasco da Gama, 1020, in Porto Alegre, and Officina Restô Bar, in Curitiba, appear on the list of the best bars in Brazil, both in 42nd place. Furthermore, Moleskine, in Fortaleza, and Pina Cocktails & Co, in Recife, secured 50th position.
