The Municipal Market (Mercadão)

With several options of vegetables, wines, cheeses, fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and much more, the famous Mercadão de São Paulo even served as barracks in the Revolution of 32 and today is well known for the sandwich of mortadella and the codfish dumpling.
It is located at Rua da Cantareira, 306, Dom Pedro II Park, Centro (Metro São Bento) and operates from Monday to Saturday, from 6 am to 6 pm and Sundays and holidays closes earlier, at 4 pm. On the last Sunday of the month it closes for maintenance.

the Saint Paul’s Office
The São Paulo Room was inaugurated in 1999 and has construction in the style of Luis XVI, having also great acoustics for the reproduction of several songs.
The place is located in Praça Júlio Prestes, s/n, Luz, Centro (Metro Luz), and operates from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 10 am until 6 pm; from Saturday until 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

One of the postcards of the city of São Paulo is the famous Municipal Theater, which carries a busy schedule all year round and receives several tourists who come in search of various presentations in the most diverse styles.
Its inauguration was inaugurated on September 12, 1911 after eight years of construction. Since then, it has had a restoration in 1951 by the architect Tito Raucht, and another in 1986 to 1991 through the Department of Historical Heritage of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture to restore the building and provide modern equipment.
From there are the Municipal Symphony Orchestra, the String Quartet, the Lyric Choir and many others.
It is located in Ramos de Azevedo Square, Centro (Metro Republic or Anhangabaú), and the ticket office is open from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 7 pm and weekends from 2 p.m. to 5 pm.

Due to its grander and also its history, the Ipiranga Museum is well known in São Paulo and has more than 125,000 pieces, which are distributed among utensils, furniture, costumes and other belongings of several people who figured in the history of Brazil.
Among the collection are objects of the Constitutionalist Revolution of 1932 and also a place reserved for Santos Dumont.

the Ibirapuera Park
The Ibirapuera Park was scheduled to be ready on the 400th anniversary of the city of São Paulo, on January 25, 1954. However, it was only opened on August 21, 1954.
Currently, the Ibirapuera Park receives about 20,000 visitors from Monday to Friday, 70,000 on Saturdays and 130,000 on Sundays. The Pinacoteca of the State

The Pinacoteca do Estado originally worked in 1911, with the First Brazilian Exhibition of Fine Arts. He received, at the time, donations of pieces that until today are part of the collection, including works of the renowned artists: Benedito Calixto, José Ferraz de Almeida Junior and Pedro Alexandrino.
He received his first renovation between 1993 and 1998, with the authorship of Paulo Mendes da Rocha, who eventually won the Mies Van der Rohe architecture award in 2000.
Located in Praça da Luz, 2 – Luz – Centro (Metro Luz), with hours of operation from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. In the Pinacoteca do Estado you can visit ten rooms that house the collection with about one hundred thousand works. Not to mention that the area also offers a delicious coffee outside and lunch outdoors overlooking the Parque da Luz.

The Municipal Zoo

The Municipal Zoo of São Paulo was created in 1957. He received the first exotic animals such as camels, lions, elephants and bears from a particular circus and the Brazilian animals, cocks of the mountains and jaguars, from Manaus.
In 2001 the area was occupied by the company Simba Safari, reincorporated in the Foundation of São Paulo Zoo Park and reopened to the public as “Zôo Safári”, in the same year.
Today, the place receives about 1.6 million people, with monitored visits to the public, night tours, courses for teachers and didactic presentations on animals and many other aspects of preservation of the environment.

the Botanical Garden
In 1928 the naturalist of Minas Gerais Frederico Carlos Hoehne received the invitation of the Government of São Paulo to establish a botanical garden in the South Zone of the city. Thus was born the Botanical Garden that, completing 80 years in 2008, underwent renovations, becoming even more beautiful.
He is currently part of the Botany Institute of São Paulo and is inserted in the State Park of Fontes do Ipiranga, or State Park. It offers attractions such as: Alameda Fernando Costa, Botânico Museu Dr. João Barbosa Rodrigues, Pirarungáu River, Staircases/Garden of Lineu, Garden of Senses, Estufas, Lago das Ninféias and Trail da Nascente.

The Autodromo de Interlagos
The Autódromo José Carlos Pace, better known as the Interlagos Circuit, has, in its extension of the circuit, 4,309 meters and to be able to house all the teams, the Autodromo has 23 boxes, each with 216 square meters. It also has a large press room, with 645 square meters, the noble hall, with 420 square meters and the paddock, with 3,960 square meters.
It has been administered, since 2005, by São Paulo Turismo S/A, an official tourism agency in the city. A Large Popular Park, so it is one of the largest public spaces in the city, also composed of more than one million square meters.

Created in 1954, the Cathedral of Sé is one of the five largest neo-Gothic temples in the world. He spent three years of retirement and was only reopened in 2002 with daily Masses.
The cathedral is open to visitors on Sundays, from 12 o’clock to 1 pm, with monitored visits. Its Masses take place on Monday and Friday, at 9 a.m., at 12 p.m., at 6 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 12 p.m.; Saturday to 12:00 p.m., at 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. and 5 p.m.
