I have just had dinner at the Dalí restaurant, in the Le Meurice hotel, part of the Dorchester Collection, undoubtedly one of the best hotels in Paris. Called a palace hotel, it was built in the 18th century and is located at a noble address, on Rue du Rivoli. Furthermore, it is opposite the Jardin de Tuilleries and close to Place de la Concorde. Because it is so traditional, its history is intertwined with the history of the city itself. The elegant property became home to several artists and intellectuals, such as Salvador Dalí, Émilie Zola and Andy Warhol, among others. A place where you can breathe art and which has known how to renew itself over time. Classic luxury is visible in the environments but with a lot of personality. Certainly the gastronomic part is in line with so much sophistication. Finally, the hotel became even more famous when it served as a location for the film Midnight in Paris, by Woody Allen. It was an impeccable meal on an autumn night in 2022. To the sound of the classic piano, I ate very fresh oysters and mushrooms as a starter and as a main, I opted for the octopus. I even had the chance to meet the friendly and talented executive chef Amaury Bouhours, who also runs Le Meurice, where he won two Michelin stars. The food, besides being impeccable, is in the style farm to table, as the inputs come from a farm on the outskirts of Paris. Logically, I ended the dinner with the works of art by Cédric Grolet, considered the best pastry chef in the world!

It was a certainly memorable Parisian night, where in addition to the haute cuisine, I was able to delight in the palatial decor of the classic hotel. I would like to reiterate that even if you are not spending the night in a five-star hotel, it is worth exploring its environments and having at least one experience, such as going to brunch, the bar, lunch or dinner. In fact, this wasn’t my first time at the elegant Le Meurice hotel, as you can see below.
