Luzia has been working at my parents’ house for many years (more than 20). Our dear Lu learned a lot from my mother, but today she is an accomplished cook. She makes the best potato chips in the world!!!

Her recipe is to slice 5 potatoes as thinly as possible (using a manual slicer or food processor), place them in a bowl, cover with ice-cold water and add 2/3 cup (coffee) of alcohol. Then just leave it to soak for 40 minutes, remove small portions, dry them on a kitchen towel and fry them without letting them darken too much. This potato is dry and crunchy! Scandal!
