Pork loin recipe

Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg of pork loin
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt to taste
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 4 bay leaves

Preparation mode

  1. First, let’s prepare our loin. Therefore, start by making several holes in the meat with a knife or fork and set aside.
  2. Next we will prepare the seasoning for the meat. Then, blend the olive oil, salt, lemon juice, onion and bay leaf in a blender.
  3. So, pour this seasoning mixture over the loin and leave it to marinate for a few minutes.
  4. Then, transfer the loin to an ovenproof dish, sprinkle with the seasonings and cover with aluminum foil.
  5. With the oven preheated to 200º, let it bake for 30 minutes.
  6. During this time, add half a cup of water to make a little broth.
  7. So, to know if the loin is done, pierce it with a knife. If it is cooked, the knife will slide well and no liquid will come out.
  8. Once done, remove the aluminum foil, turn the piece of loin over and return to the oven until golden.
  9. Meanwhile, always add more water as it dries.
  10. Finally, remove from the oven, cut into slices and serve with the pan juices.

Tips for preparing pork loin

  • An important tip is regarding the loin piece. When buying, look for a piece that is not too large, no more than 2 kg.. This is because, the larger the meat, the more likely it is to be dry and unseasoned.
  • As for flavor, the rule is clear, the longer it marinates, the better. So, the tip is to prepare the marinade the day before so the loin gets a lot of flavor.
