A simple and delicious way to consume passion fruit to lower blood pressure, when you are very nervous or stressed, for example, is by drinking passion fruit suchá, which is made using the pulp of the fruit and tea made with the leaves. This is because it is in the leaves that the highest concentration of passionflower is found, the substance responsible for the relaxing effects on the nervous system.
However, it is in the fruit that the greatest amounts of calcium and potassium are found, which are also important minerals for cardiovascular health. Therefore, combining the pulp with passion fruit leaf tea is an excellent option, as it guarantees the highest concentration of substances that help reduce blood pressure.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of dried and crushed passion fruit leaves;
- 1 large passion fruit.
Preparation mode
Place the dried passion fruit leaves in 1 cup of boiling water and let it rest for about 10 minutes. Then strain and place the tea in a blender to be blended together with the passion fruit pulp.
After blending in the blender, drink at least 2 glasses a day. If you feel necessary, you can sweeten the suchá to taste, using natural sweeteners such as stevia.
If you prefer, you can drink the passion fruit juice and tea separately, mixing throughout the day, for example.

In addition to passion fruit suchá, or the individual use of juice and leaf tea, there are also natural passionflower supplements that, in addition to reducing feelings of stress and anxiety, can also help regulate blood pressure.
These supplements are very practical, but should only be used with the guidance of a herbalist, as it is important to adapt the dose to each person’s history. However, general indications for the use of passionflower are 400 mg, twice a day, for 1 to 2 months.
