The restaurant
The maritime climate is remarkable as soon as we enter Naia. The straw lamps and the greenery of the bar counter remind us of that pleasant seaside environment. Meanwhile, the open kitchen is a beautiful attraction for those at the table. Brazilian fish are valued and always very fresh. Because partner fishermen favor sustainable and responsible fishing. Oysters, urchins, algae and lobsters arrive alive straight from the sea into the 250-liter saltwater aquarium, which keeps them alive until preparation. The inputs come from small producers in several Brazilian states. The shells arrive, above all, from the coast of São Paulo and Santa Catarina.

The menu is lean, objective and seasonal, in addition to being divided between cold and hot dishes. It constantly changes to adapt to the supply of raw materials. Of the appetizers, I loved the lobster pastry and I ordered the tasty oysters and raw meats as starters. I missed trying the zucchini flower stuffed with pink shrimp. After so many appetizers, we went for the fish of the day and herbs and went crazy for the scallops with ham and pea broth, which we had to repeat. But I promise to go back to try the octopus caught rice and the vongole and molica cream. Therefore, light dishes that leave you satisfied and with the pleasant feeling of not having eaten much.
The ingredients
A lot of things are made in the seafood restaurant in Jardins, just like in Charco. For example, bottarga, butter, naturally fermented breads and ice creams, such as the incredible mango and passion fruit popsicle.
The drinks
Finally, another good reason to visit Naia are the drinks from experienced mixologist Jean Ponce. In addition to the classics, he created a special card inspired by ocean waters.
