According to recently released data, the most popular names in Brazil 2021 were Miguel and Helena.

Many parents have doubts about which name to choose for their future child. Therefore, the National Association of Natural Person Registrars (Arpen-Brasil) recently released data on the most popular names in Brazil. Furthermore, more than 2 million records were recorded this year, in 7,658 Civil Registry Offices in the country. Anyway, do you know what these names were?

The most popular names in Brazil in 2021: Miguel and Helena

In short, the records released by Arpen are part of the Civil Registry Transparency Portal, administered by Arpen itself. According to the data released, Miguel and Helena were the most used names in 2021 among babies. Therefore, Miguel had 28,301 records, while Helena had 21,890 records.

On the other hand, other names have also been gaining popularity in Brazil. For example, on the list of boys we have Arthur, Gael, Noah, Ravi, Isaac and Anthony. Likewise, on the list of girls there are names like Alice, Eloa, Liz, Sophia, Maite, Antonella and Laura. Anyway, the trend is for simple, short and biblical names to be more popular.
