Last Monday’s events on Brazil’s most popular reality show set the internet abuzz, and led to Maria’s expulsion from Big Brother Brasil 2022.
Maria hit the bucket on Natália’s head in the Discord Game, last Monday night. In the dynamic, the brothers needed to shower each other with “dirty water” after accusing or receiving an accusation. Thus, in Maria’s turn, she won by majority of votes and had the opportunity to throw water on Natália.
When approaching her sister, Maria threw the water, but in the end, she dropped the bucket on her sister’s head, in a gesture considered aggressive. Soon after, Natália criticized: “You just can’t hit your head with a bucket, right?” Maria apologized after that.
The brothers, who were watching everything, expressed surprise at the singer’s attitude. Who tried to continue the dynamic, but ended up interrupted by presenter Tadeu Schmidt. He asked: “No, wait a little while we’re going to take a break”.
On social media, such as Twitter, Maria’s action received a lot of criticism from users. Furthermore, the artist’s name became one of the most talked about topics on the platform. Many called for her expulsion after seeing the gesture as clear aggression.
An internet user commented: “Natália is unstable, but Maria, who in the last two games used aggression, is not, right???? I understood…”. Another said: “They should review Maria’s behavior in relation to the discord game. Extremely aggressive!”
