Anyone who follows the blog knows that I am a fan of the Asian group MO and a frequent guest at hotels around the world. Of course, when I was in Atlanta, it couldn’t be any different! During my stay there, I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, one of the best hotels in Atlanta. As is the brand’s tradition, it is located in one of the city’s most sophisticated and exclusive neighborhoods, Buckhead.

Location
The Mandarin Oriental is 150m from the Buckhead subway station, where we can even take MARTA (as the rapid transport system is known there) to the airport. Almost in front of the hotel is the Lenox Square shopping mall, with many restaurants and shops that we Brazilians love. Next door is also Phipps Plaza, a shopping mall with luxury stores such as Dior, Prada and Louis Vuitton.

MO Atlanta is a 5 star hotel with a luxurious structure and exquisite service, typical of the brand. It has 127 rooms and suites, in nine different categories, a 1400m² spa, as well as a restaurant, gym and indoor pool. The rooms are very comfortable and nightly rates start at US$295.

The imposing building, with 42 floors, offers all the sophistication and comfort of the Mandarin Oriental chain. Rooms and suites are on the first 25 floors, while residential apartments are on the rest.
As soon as we enter, we are transported to an environment of tranquility, rocked by oriental music. The lobby is decorated with marble, luxurious wooden furniture and works from the Bill Lowe Gallery on the walls. Outside there is a beautiful garden, with a reflecting pool, great for relaxing on one of the benches. Ultimately, an oasis of tranquility in the heart of Atlanta.

The rooms
The room I stayed in was very charming and spacious, measuring 51m², bed king size, two armchairs with a side table and telephone, as well as an iPod docking station, a safe and a work desk. It also had a furnished balcony with a view of the city. As a welcome, I received a letter with my name and macarons. Who doesn’t like these little treats, right?

In the anteroom there was a bar with drinks, snacks and a minibar with various soft drinks, energy drinks, water, beers and sparkling wine. In addition, it also had a drawer with a bench separate from the clothes rack, which is very good for better organizing our things.

I loved the bathroom, all in marble, with clean decor and a great size. The sink had two bowls and several amenities by brand Atelier Cologne.
The bathtub with a view of the city won me over. Furthermore, to make the combination even better, it also had a TV. Ideal for relaxing after an intense day of shopping or cultural activities. It is certainly one of the best hotels in Atlanta.

I was at the restaurant for breakfast and chose the traditional eggs benedict, which came with potatoes (roasted potatoes). Due to the bad weather, I wasn’t able to enjoy it, but the restaurant also offers a terrace with tables and a garden. An intimate space for up to 10 guests. One of the highlights are the treatments with peach creams and oils – a tribute to the state of Georgia, which is known as “The Peach State”. I loved! As it was very cold, I took the opportunity to relax in the heated indoor pool after the massage. You probably wouldn’t resist either, lol. ?

The Mandarin Oriental Atlanta offers services for both those who are staying for tourism and those who are there for work. The meeting rooms are luxurious and have modern audiovisual equipment, as well as high-speed internet and video conference lines. In the Business Center, on the second floor, guests have two computers and a printer at their disposal, which can be used free of charge.

For social events, the hotel has versatile spaces for general celebrations, as well as weddings and cocktail parties. The main one, the Ballroom, has a terrace overlooking the garden and can accommodate up to 200 people.
One of the amenities offered is a car with driver, which takes guests to nearby restaurants. I used the service and it was very practical. Additionally, the hotel also has valet parking, priced at US$35 per day.

The very well trained team makes us have a unique experience. And I can say this with conviction, as I have stayed in 18 Mandarin Oriental hotels around the world.
