Malvona is a mouthwash indicated for mouth or gum conditions, such as canker sores, stomatitis or gingivitis, or to relieve a sore throat, as it has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic action.
This remedy has cetylpyridinium chloride, sodium borate and benzocaine in its composition, which help combat the proliferation of microorganisms such as fungi or bacteria, in addition to quickly relieving pain or irritation in the mouth or throat.
Malvona can be found in pharmacies or drugstores in the form of a 100 mL and 200 mL oral solution, for mouthwash or gargle, and should be used with medical or dentist advice.
What is it for
Malvona is indicated for the treatment of:
- Canker sores;
- Stomatitis;
- Gengivites;
- Sore throat;
- Tonsillitis and pharyngitis.

The use of Malvona must be carried out with the recommendation of a general practitioner, otorhinolaryngologist or dentist, after evaluating the mouth and throat.
How to use
Malvona should only be used by adults, in the form of mouthwash or gargle, and should not be ingested, and the solution should be spit out after use.
To use this mouthwash, you must shake the bottle well and add 5 mL (1 teaspoon) of Malvona and 50 mL of cold or warm water to a glass. Swish or gargle this solution, then spit it out.
In the case of canker sores, to make it easier to use, you can dip a cotton pad in the solution and apply directly to the canker sore.
The normally recommended dosage is 4 to 5 mouthwashes or gargles per day, or as advised by your doctor or dentist.
It is recommended not to eat or drink for 30 minutes after using Malvona.
Possible side effects
No side effects were reported with the use of Malvona. However, allergic reactions may occur in people who are allergic to the components of the formula.
In these cases, you should stop using it and consult your doctor or dentist to re-evaluate the treatment.
However, if severe allergic symptoms such as difficulty breathing or swelling in the mouth, tongue or face appear, you should go to the emergency room immediately as it is a serious condition that can be life-threatening if not treated quickly. Who shouldn’t use
Malvona should not be used by children or people undergoing treatment for alcoholism or who use the medicine disulfiram, as it contains alcohol in its composition.
Furthermore, Malvona should not be used by people who are allergic to any of the components of the solution.
During pregnancy or breastfeeding, Malvona should only be used if indicated by a doctor or dentist.
