Last Monday (29), former Rouge Li Martins shared sad news with her followers. Less than a month after finding out about her pregnancy, Li Martins suffers a miscarriage. The singer was pregnant with her second child, from her marriage to model JP Antovanni. Through her social networks, she reported everything that happened to her fans.
“The last few days haven’t been easy,” Li began. “Some days I wake up well, others I don’t feel like getting out of bed. No pain I have ever felt in my life compares to what I feel today, and perhaps I will feel forever!” Li Martins found out about her pregnancy on October 23rd, through a pharmacy test.
In this sense, she commented that she had lived days of fulfillment with the news that she would become a mother for the second time. Furthermore, she was unsure whether or not she should reveal what happened, but she thought about the women who go through this, and wanted to serve as an example. “I think about the women who are going through this, and who knows, maybe by sharing a little of my experience I can help other women feel that they are not alone in this grief!”
Li Martins suffers miscarriage
First of all, the former Rouge singer is the mother of Antonella, who is 4 years old, also from her marriage to JP Mantovani. Be that as it may, Li was already in her sixth week of pregnancy when she found out about the miscarriage. Less than a month later, on November 10, she found out that, through a medical consultation, the baby no longer had a heartbeat.
Thus, Li Martins wrote: “November 10th would already be the 2nd ultrasound. In the first one, the size suggested 6 weeks, but in this one the baby was smaller than in the last USG, as if it had regressed to the 5 week size. Then the doctor said there was no heartbeat or vital signs. At that moment I froze. I tried to hide and not show Antonella the deep sadness that dominated me at that moment.”
On the other hand, the situation became even more tragic after the doctor questioned her about her decision. “‘My God! My baby no longer has a life, and now what do I do?’ The doctor explained to me that I could wait for the body to expel it or do the curettage! I chose to wait, but I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to deal with the idea of knowing that my baby is still here, but lifeless.” According to her, the days that followed after the consultation were not easy at all.

According to Li Martins, he had extremely difficult days after finding out about the abortion. “I woke up the next day with a deep sadness, I just wanted to cry, it felt like a nightmare, but it was real! I didn’t know how to act, so I put my hands on my belly, started praying and decided to talk to the baby”, says Li, very emotional. “I asked for forgiveness, because I’m not ready to say goodbye, and I never will be. I thanked him for the short time he was with us, for the joy he brought even though it was so quick, I said we loved him and we will always love him!”
Finally, Li Martins says goodbye with great sadness. “I cry in secret whenever I think we won’t meet, I try to understand what can’t be explained, I try to accept what I can’t change, because it hasn’t been easy to accept your loss. I avoid thinking, because I need to overcome it! But I know I will never forget!”
