Brush your teeth

We can’t forget the simplest method first.

Eat an orange

Some people ended up discovering by chance that consuming an orange is very effective in removing the smell of cigarettes from their mouths.

Let the orange “juice” penetrate your lips and tongue to achieve the desired effect.

You can also use apples. They work great to absorb odors and taste great too.

If you are more of a fan of lemons and don’t mind the tightness in your mouth, you can take the orange and lemon, mixing them together inside your mouth to allow the juices to reach your lips.

Throat sprays

If you really think about it, most of the smoke smell is in the back of the mouth and not the front where the lips are.

Most things, like brushing your teeth, will leave your rear end still “contaminated”.

You can buy some cough throat sprays and spray them a few times to get rid of the cigarette smell.

Just be careful with excess.

This sounds really stupid, but milk is amazing at covering cigarette smoke on your lips.

How to get the cigarette smell off your hands

While regular smokers rarely recognize the lingering smell of tobacco, nonsmokers usually detect it easily.

Smoking jackets and caps work well to protect most of the body from cigarette smoke, but the fingers are often exposed to the smoke.

To rid your hands of that smell, all you really need is some soap, baking soda, and less than a minute of your time.

First, measure out 1 teaspoon of baking soda and place the spoon near a sink. Turn on the tap and adjust the temperature to warm.

Wash your hands.

Pump a few drops of soap into your palm and use your free hand to add the teaspoon of baking soda to the soap.

Rub both hands together to soak up the soap and baking powder mixture.

Scrub your nails and the area between your finger.

Rub your hands together for at least 20 seconds.

Finally, wash your hands with warm water and dry them on a clean towel.

If you still smell smoke on your fingers after washing them, rub another teaspoon of baking soda on them and rinse them again.

How to get cigarette smell out of clothes

Whether you’ve spent a night out with smokers or found the perfect shirt at a vintage clothing store, stale cigarette odors may make you want to stay the hell away from affected clothing.

Instead of wondering if that laundry will smell clean, breathe it out and treat it with natural odor-absorbing materials to make it smoke-free and, ultimately, wearable.

Take clothes that smell like smoke outdoors.

Hang items on a clothesline with space between them.

If no clothesline is available, insert hangers for items such as shirts and jackets and hang them from ceiling hooks on the porch or patio, along the back of a chair, or anywhere airflow can reach the clothing.

Lay the pants over the back of a chair or railing, covering them to maximize airflow.

Do not fold clothing items or place one item on top of another as they require exposure to air.

Leave the smoked clothing open for several hours or all day, repeating the treatment the next day if necessary.

Smell the clothes after several hours.

If it still smells like smoke, spray the fabric lightly with white vinegar using a spray bottle. Let clothes dry freely.

Vinegar removes odors; its aroma does not cling to clothes when it dries.

For leather items, apply vinegar to a soft, damp, but not wet, white cloth, then wipe the leather with the vinegar.

Let it air dry.
