About Nobu

O Nobu is considered one of the ten best restaurants in the world by the newspaper New York Times and so too, Nobu Matsuhisa was elected one of the 10 best chefs in the United States for the Food and Wine Magazine. I’ve visited several of the chain’s restaurants and even had the opportunity to meet the chef at his first restaurant, Matsuhisa, in Los Angeles. A luxury and probably one of the most exciting dinners I’ve ever had.

With Nobu himself! Certainly an unforgettable day.
Such is the success of the restaurants, the Nobu Hotels chain was created in 2009 by actor Robert De Niro, a longtime admirer of the chef and partner in the restaurants. Plus Hollywood producer Meir Teper and, of course, Nobu Matsuhisa. The chain’s first hotel was opened in Las Vegas, inside Caesar’s Palace. Since then, there have been 8 hotels spread across the world, such as in Ibiza, Las Vegas and London. And this year 2018/2019 five more will be opened.
