On my first trip to DenmarkI stayed at the famous Hotel D’Angleterre, the best in Copenhagen.
With the seal Leading Hotels of the Worldwithout a doubt, was one of the best hotels where I’ve stayed.

Opened in 1755, the Hotel D’Angle is an icon in Copenhagen and symbol of elegance, style and luxury in the city. Without losing its historical characteristics, it knew how to renew itself and offer all the comfort and modernity to today’s demanding guests, after a major renovation in 2013.
Its architectural features have all been maintained, but inside, we find a contemporary and practical hotel, in addition to having extreme good taste.
Its location could not be more practical, in the heart of Copenhagenclose to the Port of Nyhavn – from where it is essential to take a boat trip – walking distance close to museums, gardens and even Tivoli, the oldest Amusement Park in the world.
In fact, an unmissable restaurant that you can walk to from the hotel is Kong Hans Kælder, where I had an unforgettable dinner. The restaurant, which bears the Relais & Chateau seal, is located in the oldest building in Copenhagen, over 500 years old. The restaurant itself opened in 1976 and has maintained its medieval ambiance. But what draws the most attention is the food – of French origin, with Nordic influence – impeccable, and the extremely attentive service. Only a tasting menu is served and reservations are essential.
The size of the hotel is also perfect: there are 90 rooms, 60 of which are suites. All spacious, with classic decor and equipped with maximum convenience to make the guest’s life easier.
I stayed in a Deluxe One-Bedroom Suite and I couldn’t have been happier with my stay! The room, measuring 65 m2, had two rooms, including a sofa, armchairs, television and toilet in the anti-living room and bed. king size, armchair and very spacious bathroom in the sleeping area. I loved the espresso machine with complimentary capsules at our disposal, as well as the minibar full of sweets and assorted drinks.
The hotel service is very careful, with all the staff always willing to help. The concierges were very well informed and gave me relevant tips on what to do in the city, and they could be contacted even before our arrival, to make restaurant reservations or even buy tickets for shows.
In times of wi fi vital for tourists, it is worth mentioning that the connection Hotel D’Angle It was one of the best I’ve ever used, which, for those who work while traveling, like me, is essential. I was able to send and download videos in record time. And detail: without having to pay a penny more, as it is courtesy of the hotel, even at high speeds.
The breakfast at Hotel D’Angle He is one of those people who will be missed. A very well set up and abundant table pleases all tastes, with a variety of breads, dumplings, cold cuts, fruits, sweets and even salad – as it is a Scandinavian habit to eat it in the morning. Additionally, chefs are on hand to make eggs and the like in a beautiful open kitchen.
It is worth highlighting the restaurant’s hall, beautifully decorated, and with a winter garden overlooking the square, which adds an extra charm to the environment. Marchal, with one Michelin star has contemporary cuisine, with Nordic and French inspiration, led by the chefUstrian Christian Gadient, and where I had a pleasant dinner.
The hotel also has Balthazar, which is more relaxed and has the first champagne bar in the city. Denmark.
Like a good five-star hotel, of course the Hotel D’Angle It has a top-notch spa, with a swimming pool and everything. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to take a dip or try any of the treatments on offer, but I went there to take a look and I loved it!
Staying in a hotel like the From England makes us want to go back to Copenhagen just with the excuse of spending more nights there.
