The accommodation at the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal is spacious, comfortable and very bright. The decor is contemporary and features beige tones, with leather elements. In addition, plasma TV, with dozens of channels in several languages, free Wi-Fi – yay – coffee maker, kettle and full minibar were available.

My suite had a pleasant balcony, with a view of the Palais Royal, as well as characteristic Parisian rooftops. In the distance, it was also possible to see the stunning Sacre Coeur de Paris, in Montmartre.
The room had a comfortable sofa in front of the bed, ideal for relaxing and watching TV. Together with the coffee table, it was transformed into a second room. The marble bathroom had a bathtub, great shower and good amenities. In addition, it also had a towel heater, always welcome! The robes and slippers – am I crazy about them and do I collect them? – they were very comfortable.

My stay
I was extremely well looked after and pampered at this boutique hotel near the Louvre. Upon my arrival, beautiful flowers, a bottle of Moet Chandon and sweets. On my way out, a beautiful book about the hotel and treats, such as tea and Caritá cream, a brand from the hotel’s spa. Points for them! After all, who doesn’t like to be well received, right?

The delicious Le Lulli is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The coffee, served as a buffet, was plentiful and offered a little of everything. In addition, there are also more elaborate à la carte options, such as omelets and waffles. At lunch, always popular, there are a variety of contemporary French dishes, ranging from pasta to meats and salads. I had the most enjoyable lunch of my stay there.

They were able to give excellent suggestions for neighboring restaurants, such as the Mon Paris brasserie, Takara, the first Japanese restaurant in Paris and Baltard au Louvre, great for lunch, run by chef Ewout Vranckx, who has already worked in best hotels in Parislike George V and Le Meurice, for example.
