The Gucci brand’s first in-person fashion show after complications from the post-pandemic era takes place in November, in Los Angeles.

Italian brand Gucci has big plans for its return to the catwalk. After spending a period away from the spotlight, the brand announced last Thursday (21) that in-person fashion shows will return. In this sense, this return already has a date and location: November 2, on the iconic Hollywood Boulevard, in Los Angeles, California. Furthermore, Gucci also revealed some more interesting details about the upcoming show, and what can be expected from it.

Initially, the new collection was called “Love Parade”, which in free translation means Parade of Love. It is signed by the brand’s creative director, Alessandro Michele. Thus, the new line seeks to create a more intense dialogue between local culture and creativity, so that it is possible to highlight the current scenario of the post-pandemic world. Until then, Gucci’s first compilation of 2021 had to be virtual, due to complications from COVID-19.

In addition, the brand will also offer support to local communities, through the “Changemakers” program, created by Gucci Equilibrium. Support is expected to extend across Los Angeles and Hollywood, and the donation will go to populations suffering from homelessness, as well as facing mental health issues.

Funds from Gucci’s in-person fashion show will go to organizations in the region, and names have also been announced. The list includes initiatives such as the Los Angeles College Promise, YMCA Hollywood, Sole Folks, Los Angeles LGBT Center and the Happy Hippie Foundation. The last one is named after Miley Cyrus, founder of the organization. Miley is also a longtime friend of Gucci.

More about the brand

The brand’s next fashion show should coincide with the 10th edition of the LACMA Art + Film Gala celebration, which also takes place in Los Angeles. In this sense, Gucci is a supporter and sponsor of the event. Furthermore, on November 24th, the brand will star in its own film, House of Gucci, with a cast including Lady Gaga and Adam Driver. The film is a dramatized version of the events surrounding the murder of Maurizio Gucci, in 1995, the last member of the family to run the company.
