No matter how much you spent on a product, whether expensive or cheap, gel eyeliners and mascara simply dry out over time, even if they are still within their expiration date. This happens because of the change in temperature, the way the product is stored and a series of other factors.
But don’t worry, if you only used your expensive eyeliner for a month and it hardened, this isn’t the end of the line for it. It is possible to save your dry gel eyeliner, or even that thickened eyelash mascara, in a cheap way, with a product that everyone has at home.
As blogger Mariana Ferrari showed on her Instagram profile, just a drop of Johsson’s oil can work a real miracle on your dry gel eyeliner. Interesting, right?
To save the product, all you have to do is drop the oil (seriously, just a single drop) directly into the pot and use a toothpick to stir the eyeliner. The secret is to stir well, until the oil completely mixes with the eyeliner or mascara and makes its texture more diluted.
