Colored gelatin recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package of strawberry gelatin
  • 1 package of lemon gelatin
  • 1 packet of Tutti Frutti jelly
  • 1 package of grape gelatin
  • 1 packet of pineapple gelatin
  • 2 boxes of cream (400 g)
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 envelope of unflavored powdered gelatin (learn how to make gelatin pudding)

Preparation mode

  1. Let’s start by preparing the flavored gelatins following the instructions on the packaging, but using only half the water indicated, that is, just 250 ml.
  2. Boil 150 ml of water to mix the gelatin powder and then add 100 ml of cold water to each of the 5 flavored gelatins.
  3. Place in the refrigerator to harden for at least two hours.
  4. For the cream, blend the two boxes of cream with the can of condensed milk in a blender.
  5. Then, add the already hydrated unflavored gelatin as indicated on the package and beat very well.
  6. When the gelatin is already very consistent, make squares with a knife to form cubes. Repeat the process with all the gelatin.
  7. After that, add all the chopped gelatin and pour the cream on top and mix gently.
  8. Finally, transfer the gelatin and cream to a large ovenproof dish.
  9. Refrigerate for at least two hours before serving dessert.

Tips for preparing colored gelatin

  • A tip for dissolving unflavored gelatin is to add 5 tablespoons of water to the powder and microwave for 15 seconds.. If necessary, add another spoonful of water and return to the microwave for another 15 seconds.
  • In our recipe we use 5 different flavors of gelatin, but you can use your favorites, or just a few colors. However, the more flavors, the more colorful the gelatin will be.
  • When putting the gelatin ready, You have the option of either using a refractory dish or placing it in a cake or pudding mold with a hole in the middle. It will be even more beautiful!
