In 1918, the mansion was designed by Charles Sumner Greene, a famous architect at the time, and named the DL James House.

Furthermore, the region became known among movie stars around 1986, when actor Clint Eastwood won the position of mayor of the city.

Since 1999, the property has belonged to a finance businessman. However, the peculiar factor regarding the purchase of the mansion is that it was not publicly listed for sale.
