Best restaurants in Miami

The inaugural edition of the Guide selected a total of 14 restaurants in Miami, Orlando and Tampa with one Michelin star, and one restaurant with two Michelin stars. Therefore, L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, the only one to guarantee maximum points, is located in the Design District and once there, you are immediately transported to Paris. The service is irreparable, the presentation of the dishes is impeccable, and of course, the finest cuisine created by the chef who left us four years ago but who has certainly made his mark.

+5 restaurants in Orlando that you need to know

With one star in Miami, there is Hiden, a Japanese restaurant that is located behind a password-opened door, at the back of a taco place in Wynwood, (where we have already been and you can read the post here), and Le Jardinier, the most relaxed atmosphere by chef Joel Robuchon. Already the steakhouse Korean Cote also secured its Michelin star.

As well as Stubborn Seed, by chef Jeremy Ford, which features dishes with a strong Florida influence, and The Surf Club Restaurant, located in the elegant Four Seasons in Surfside, by American chef Thomas Keller. Completing the list in Miami: Los Félix, The Den at Sushi Azabu Miami, Ariete and Boia De.

I had the opportunity to have lunch at Elcielo Miami, which also just won a Michelin star. Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos’ restaurant mixes cutting-edge techniques with traditional Colombian culinary methods.

1 Michelin star in Orlando

In Orlando’s best hotel, the Four Seasons Resort at Disney World, Capa, a stylish Spanish restaurant located on the 17th floor, was also included. Read the full review of our experience at the Four Seasons here. In addition, the Japanese Soseki and Kadence also made the list, which offers the omakase menu (tasting) and the Knife & Spoon steakhouse, which is located inside The Ritz-Carlton Orlando.

Bib Gourmand

Meanwhile, the Guide also highlights 29 Bib Gourmands, that is, restaurants that offer excellent quality and good value for money. Among them, for example, are Doya, in Wynwood, with Greek Mediterranean cuisine, and Michael’s Genuine, in the Design District, run by chef Michael Schwartz.

Where to eat in Miami

We are fans of the sunny state and therefore take the opportunity to highlight other restaurants that we recommend in Miami!

  • Zuma – one of the best Asians in the world, stays at the Kimpton Epic hotel, in downtown Miami, which has nothing to do with the old downtown. Furthermore, it is completely modern and surrounded by luxury hotels.
  • Wynwood Kitchen and Bar – located in the fashionable Wynwood Design District, this restaurant has a very varied menu, original decor with works by local artists and a very pleasant outdoor area. Plus, prices are much more affordable than in South Beach.
  • Joey’s – next door to WBK, an unpretentious Italian place, but with great cuisine and a good atmosphere. Worth both lunch and dinner.
  • Shorty’s – for those who appreciate good food, without frills, this is the right place! Roast chicken, corn, and prime rib. Unmissable.
  • Sugarcane – modern and with great quality food, this restaurant is located in Midtown, an area of Miami that is growing every day and deserves to be visited.
  • Xixón – an authentic Spanish restaurant in Coral Gables, where you can taste true garlic shrimp e Galician-style octopus.
So, save these posts soon so you don’t forget when you’re around Miami and Orlando.
