The first edition of Florida’s Michelin Guide revealed 14 starred restaurants in Miami, Orlando and Tampa. One of them is the Colombian El Cielo, which is located in the Brickell region and won a Michelin star! I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant run by chef Juan Manuel Barrientos. The idea is to sharpen all our senses, in addition to taste. This starred restaurant in Miami is certainly a must-see for anyone who appreciates haute cuisine! Take the opportunity to also read about L’atelier de Joel Robuchon, the only one to earn two stars in Miami.

Star-studded restaurant in Miami
Facing the Miami River, El Cielo has an elegant atmosphere and lots of natural lighting, with an open kitchen and decor in light tones, with gold details in the handcrafted furniture. The plants also give the place a tropical touch! Furthermore, there is also a beautiful bar, where signature drinks are served.
+1Hotel South Beach em Miami
In fact, the city’s gastronomic scene is increasingly interesting, and El Cielo is proof of that! Go with an open mind and an open heart for new experiences and surprising flavors. The chef mixes avant-garde cooking techniques with traditional Colombian cooking methods. The result is modern and creative, using local organic ingredients.
Tasting Menu at El Cielo
The Experience has 21 dishes, but don’t be scared. Portions are small and most of them are in snack format. Therefore, I left very satisfied! There are also some à la carte options, which are served on the outdoor terrace.
Among the items on the menu, for example, were crab empanadas with pineapple chili, pork belly with corn and beer and tuna cones with watermelon.
And Colombian coffee certainly couldn’t be missed. With a different presentation, the smoke represents the fog in the mountains where farmers harvest the grains! Another highlight of the menu is “Chocotherapy”, where your hands are literally bathed in chocolate. Well-being therapy is based on the properties of cocoa, which has stimulating and regenerative effects that release tension!
Additionally, the restaurant also has locations in Washington DC, where it also has a Michelin star, Bogotá and Medellin. Indeed, a sensational gastronomic experience!
