Even if you’ve never tried making any type of plant-based milk, you don’t need to worry as the recipe is very simple. You will only need:

  • 2 cups raw, unsalted almonds
  • 6 to 8 cups of water

To prepare the drink, you must soak the almonds for at least 12 hours. Therefore, it is best to place them in a container with water overnight and leave them there until the morning of the next day.

The second step is to throw out the water and dry the chestnuts lightly with a kitchen towel. Then place the almonds in the blender or processor and blend with the water.

Now just strain it with a fine cloth and it’s ready to drink. If you want to use it in recipes and replace cow’s milk, it is recommended that you only use 4 cups of water. This way the drink becomes thicker and ready to be used.
