Without a doubt the chocolate pave It’s one of my favorite Christmas recipes and it’s super easy to make. The good thing is that it can be made up to 2 days before serving as it lasts perfectly in the fridge until dinner time.

But before I introduce you to this delight, let me talk about chocotone

Chocotone is a variation of the traditional panettone, one of those recipes with a Christmas feel. While the original panettone is filled with candied fruit, chocotone is a version that replaces the fruit with large pieces of chocolate, especially for children who prefer the taste of chocolate to dried fruit.

Chocotone was created to please chocolate lovers and those who really liked the dough but didn’t like candied fruits or raisins. And it was a very good bet, as chocolate is one of many people’s favorite gastronomic experiences.

So very quickly, chocotone began to occupy a prominent place on shelves and on tables at the end of the year, chocotone became so popular that today it is so easy to find one or another product in supermarkets not only during the month of December, but throughout the year all.

The Best Recipe with Chocotone

Chocotone is a delicious variation of the original panettone, which was created to cater to “chocoholics” and became a popular option during Christmas festivities, but you can make your own recipe and give it to your friends, let’s make it?

Cream Ingredients:
– 4 excited;
– 40 grams of wheat flour;
– 80 grams of sugar;
– 500ml semi-skimmed milk;
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Other ingredients:
– 1 sliced ​​chocolate;
– 1/2 cup (tea) of semi-skimmed milk;
– 1 cup (tea) of chocolate shavings;
– 1 cup of cherries in syrup

How to Assemble the Chocotone Pavé

Mix the egg yolks with the sugar until it becomes a whitish cream. Now add the vanilla and flour. Bring the milk to the boil and as soon as it boils, gradually add it to the egg yolk mixture, return to low heat, stirring until it thickens. Let it cool to use on the pavé, but be careful, let it cool!

Finally, slice the chocotone to assemble the pavé, quickly dip the chocotone in the milk and place it on the platter. Then spread a layer of cream, some cherries in syrup and milk chocolate shavings and make as many layers as you want. Finish with the cream and decorate with milk chocolate shavings, cherries and mint leaves, although it looks beautiful, this is optional.
