Pepperoni pie recipe
Dough Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup of oil
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1/2 box of cream
- 1 and 1/2 cup of wheat flour
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon baking soup
- 20 grams of parmesan
- oregano to taste
Filling Ingredients
- 300 grams of chopped pepperoni sausage
- 1 chopped onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 seedless tomatoes
- 1 can of green corn
- parsley to taste
Preparation mode
- First, let’s make the filling for the pepperoni pie. Therefore, in a heated frying pan, fry the pepperoni in its own fat.
- Then add the finely chopped garlic and onion and sauté until it starts to brown.
- Once done, add the chopped seedless tomatoes, along with the green corn and let it sauté for a few minutes.
- Finally, remove from the heat and add the chopped parsley and set aside.
- To make the dough, add eggs, milk, oil, cream and salt to the blender.
- Beat everything very well until smooth and then add the wheat flour and then beat some more.
- Lastly add the yeast and mix.
- To assemble the pie, add just over half the dough to a greased and floured baking dish.
- Then, pour the pepperoni filling on top and the rest of the dough.
- Lastly, sprinkle grated parmesan and oregano on top.
- Now, place the pie in the preheated oven at 200ºC for about 40 minutes or until the pie starts to turn golden.
