There are so many options of beaches in Ubatuba that it is possible to find a quiet beach, even in the summer, where you can be more at ease, without having to stay glued to the neighbor’s parasol, due to lack of space.
But for surfers, winter guarantees the best waves of the year, not to mention that it hardly rains.
North Coast
Ubatuba has 102 beaches and all are very beautiful, but each with its own history and characteristic. The main beaches of Ubatuba on the north coast have many faces, with at least 70, and some beaches are: Praia do Félix, Praia da Justa, Camburi, Brava, Picinguaba, Praia da Fazenda, Almada, Ubatumirim, Puruba, Prumirim, Itamambuca and Red North.
In many of them the bustle is due to bars and nightclubs that surround them, with a lot of diversified music, to attract all tastes and styles. Scattered for 90 kilometers, its attractions are in the form of inlets and bays of blue and green waters, framed by the dense vegetation of the Serra do Mar.
If you like surfing, the beach of Itamambuca has good waves and is part of the international circuit of the sport, so it is an ideal choice. With so many peculiar littles, it is impossible for you not to find one that is your style.
the Brava Beach
Access to Brava Beach is made by trails, starting from the beach of Camburi. It is a beach inhabited by fishermen and many of them live on site. It has excellent waves, ideal for surfers. Located 42 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba, Brava beach has a beautiful scenery.
Ensada
Located just 9.5 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba, Praia da Enseada has a good infrastructure with restaurants and bars. Its sea is quiet and ideal for water sports. Another reason that makes it a special beach is the Bay of Coseada itself, providing good berths, very close to the beach.
Ideal for those who enjoy Ecotourism, because it gives access to two interesting trails, but that requires the accompaniment of a guide. But the beach is also excellent for families and bathers, as it has an excellent lodging network. In it you can find pharmacies, supermarkets, shops and commerce of various types.
Sinhas

The Toninhas Beach has very good waves that bring surfers together and is also very popular for those who are looking for tranquility, but with proximity to the urban center and all its structure. Its waters are perfect for swimmers and for surfers and body boarders.
On your right hand are families, bathers and everyone who enjoys being by the sea. On the left side are the good waves, ideal for sportsmen. The hotel and inn chains is excellent, as are its restaurants that serve various spices such as Japanese food, international, seafood and pizzerias.

the Great Beach
Praia Grande is one of the busiest points in Ubatuba, offering drinks, variety drinks, seafood and snacks. It is frequented by young people and surfers, being urbanized, on its edge, by several kiosks that offer great infrastructure.
Just four kilometers from the center of Ubatuba, Praia Grande is 1,800 meters long and has fine sands and beaten. In the middle of the beach tourists can count on a lifeguard station.
It has a very good lodging network, offering some hotels and inns in Ubatuba, as well as supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, fuel stations, real estate, newsstands, trade stations among other commercial establishments on the beach itself.

With strong waves, the Red beach of the North attracts several surfers and for those who enjoy a nightlife, it has one of the most frequented nightclubs of Ubatuba. Its sand is thick and reddish, hence the name of the site. There is the Red Beach which is a wonderful water park, suitable for families traveling with children of all ages.
The Red beach of the North is seven kilometers from the Ubatuba Center and does not offer lodging establishments. It is frequented by tourists staying in hotels and inns very close to the beach. It has many parking areas, almost by the sea.
Itamambuca Beach
The beach of Itamambuca is very famous for having very good waves. She brings together the surfing class all year round and especially in July, because it is in this month that she hosts national and international championships. The tourist can take the opportunity to do an ecotourism through the Atlantic Forest.
It is one of the most preserved beaches and also it is extensive and well protected by hills. The beach of Itamambuca brings together charming and rustic bars and restaurants. It is located only 12 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba, but you can stay there right there, in one of its charming chalets, inns, campsites and even in an eco resort.

Félix Beach is located just 15 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba and brings together surfers in its left corner and divers in its right corner. The Beach of Prumirim
Prumirim is 18 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba and is an old village that has become a condominium. It has good tents, stretches with waves and calm sea, good bars, stones and trail that leads to a village of the Guarani Indians.
It has little infrastructure, but offers a caiçara bar that only works in high season or holidays. From this beach leave boats bound to the Island of Prumirim, much sought after by divers. On this island you enjoy and translucent waters, a rich sea life and white sands.
You can stay there, because they have inns and chalets and in the condominium, many vacation homes for rent by season.
Puruba Beach
Puruba Beach is 2 kilometers long and is well preserved. To reach this deserted beach, which is 24 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba, you need to cross a stream of green waters, swimming, on foot (drinkly at low tide) or in fishing boats. Depending on the height, the water reaches the height of the waist and the crossing is very quiet.
The beach has white sand, quiet sea and native forest along its edge. It is also in the cove of Ubatumirim, overlooking the Island of Prumirim. In the village, it has chapel, bars, houses and school. She was once the scene of films and mini-series such as “Desmundo” and Invention of Brazil.
Praia da Justa
Justa Beach is small and its access is through trails from the right corner of Ubatumirim. Little frequented, Justa Beach has a calm sea and fine sand and is located only 28 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba. It is separated by the Onça River and is excellent for sea bathing and also for diving.

Access is made through the Rio-Santos highway, departing from kilometer 9, followed by a secondary dirt road. It is located in a cove, of the same name, and from there it is possible to see some islands such as Prumirim, which is a perfect setting for those who dream of escaping urban stress, the island Little of the Pigs, Round, Stone, of the Couves, of the Negro and Prumirim.
Praia da Almada
Almada Beach is small and calm sea, tents that serve seafood and abundant vegetation and is only 34 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba. With airs from the northeast, Almada Beach is formed by centuries-old trees, clear sands and its waters are quiet, perfect for bathing and for kayaking.
If you enjoy more privacy, a 40-minute trail will take you to the wild Brava da Almada beach, where it has strong waves and soft sand. Among them is the beach of Engenho. Tourists will still be able, in contact with local fishermen, to have fresh fish and seafood in a wide variety, to thus prepare a typical meal. But if you prefer, tourists can enjoy the delicacies in the restaurants and bars that specialize in seafood.
Beach of the Farm
Praia da Fazenda is very extensive, with 3.5 kilometers and is home to the Administrative Sede of the Serra do Mar State Park – Núcleo Picinguaba. It is a beach with calm sea and light sands and has two rivers that are excellent for bathing. Because it is located in Environmental Preservation Area, tents are not allowed, so it is recommended to take snack and water.
Considered one of the 10 most beautiful shores in Brazil, as it is a picturesque place between sea, rivers, mangrove and sandinga vegetation, the farm beach does not offer accommodation and the camp is only allowed in a single camping in the region. Tourists, however, can enjoy a shower and parking offered by the Serra do Mar State Park, a few meters from the beach.
Picinguaba Beach
Picinguaba Beach is surrounded by islands: Long, Couves and Carapuça, and has green and quiet waters. It offers good spots for diving and is also the stop point of boats, offering bars and restaurants. It also has a fishing colony that preserves the houses and canoes with original characteristics of the place.
This beach is 40 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba and is part of the village of the same name. It is surrounded on one side, by sea and on the other, by rivers, Picinguaba and Fazenda. Everything here is part of the Serra do Mar State Park.
Its name, Picinguaba, that is, in Tupi-Guarani, a fish refuge.
Camburir
Camburi beach is the last beach on the North coast of São Paulo and borders Rio de Janeiro. It has trails that lead to the beach of Parati. This beach is very deserted, but it offers excellent waves for surfing and also some rustic bars. With 46 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba, its access is through the secondary road that departs from the highway.
Camburi is part of the Núcleo Picinguaba, Serra do Mar State Park. It is a heritage of humanity, recognized by UNESCO and the only point on the coast of São Paulo that are protected coastal ecosystems, such as mangrove, beaches, rocky coasts and sandbank forest.
With clear sands, Camburi beach is ideal for bathing and in some times, also for surfing. For lodging, it offers houses for rent and camping.
Santa Rita
The Santa Rita Beach is located in the Flamengo ed. Your access is made through a trail that departs from Praia do Perequê Mirim or the beach of Enseada.
It is inside a condo that has beautiful houses by summer, however, it is small and with a calm sea like a swimming pool, which makes it excellent for bathing.
Perequê-Mirim
Praia do Perequê-Mirim is located in the Flamengo incoier, with 11 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba and has an excellent commercial and lodging structure, because it is very close with the beach of Enseada.
Ema is 800 meters long and forms a tranquil sea bay and still has kiosks and water sports. On her left side, she has a trail that gives light to Santa Rita beach and the beach of Enseada.
Beach of Fora
Praia de Fora is located next to Ponta do Espia, right in front of Ancheita Island. Its access is through a trail that leaves the beach of Enseada or Toninhas and passes through the beaches of Godoi, Prainha de Fora and Itapecerica.
With 200 meters of extension, its sea is rough and its waves are strong and slabs submerged. It is more frequented by surfers, because for bathers it becomes dangerous. Praia de Fora is 9 kilometers from the center of Ubatuba.
Perequê-Açu
Perequê-Açu Beach is one of the most traditional beaches in Ubatuba. It has white sands, good infrastructure (with kiosks, inns, camping and restaurants) and calm and shallow waters. This beach is a place very frequented by families and widely used for sports and recreational events as well.
With many kiosks, Perequê-Açu Beach is a quiet beach with many beautiful people. Not to mention that it is very close to the center and is widely used for sporting events, recreational and also for beginner surfers. It also has a tourist terminal, which serves the tourist of one day. In its left corner is the beach of Barra Seca.
