Where to stay in Búzios? With twenty beaches spread across a small peninsula, there is no shortage of options when choosing your accommodation.

Before booking your hotel or guesthouse in Búzios, a central question is to define the region: is it better to stay in the center, close to the bars and restaurants, or further away, in a small guesthouse right on the sand?

Where to stay in Búzios: center or beach?

The night takes place on Rua das Pedrasa road closed to vehicle traffic and which in high season is taken over by crowds of tourists. That’s where restaurants, bars, the heart of the city are.

Nearby is also Orla Bardot, a name that pays a fair tribute to the biggest supporter of local tourism.

Although some of the beaches are far away, others can be accessed on foot: Armação de Búzios, do Canto, dos Ossos, Azeda and João Fernandes.

If staying in the center makes life easier after the beach, for those who just want shade, fresh water and comfort, it might be a good idea to stay facing the sea. Some of the most beautiful beaches in Búzios are far from the center.

How much does a hotel in Búzios cost per night?

As is clear from the text, prices vary according to location, style of accommodation and also the time of year.

Where to stay in Búzios by car: parking lots

Búzios city hall charges a fee to park on the streets in the center, but even so, finding a space in high season is a very difficult task. The solution is to hire private parking, which will add around R$40 per day to the cost table.

That’s what I did and it was worth it. As I stayed in the center, I used the car to visit the more remote beaches during the day, but at night, when it was time to go out, I could do everything on foot.

Given the geography of Búzios, a car – yours, rented or a taxi – will be necessary if you want to travel around the beaches, so it’s best to ensure proximity to Rua das Pedras and the local nightlife.

If you decide to rent a car, I recommend reading the text in which we explain how to rent a vehicle with the best cost/benefit.
