With the new trend of gourmet markets around the world, of course new York couldn’t be left out and the charming Chelsea Market is proof of that: a gastronomic market in the cool Meatpacking District which became a point in the city.
The building, which had been a biscuit factory since 1890, was transformed into a huge mercado, which sells all kinds of food that you can buy to take away or eat there. From fresh fish to ice cream, from bread to sweets, fruit and so on, the market offers a little bit of everything in terms of gastronomic.
But Chelsea Market doesn’t stop there. There are also charming little shops, traveling markets for independent artists and occasional shows. Just stay tuned for the schedule on the Chelsea Market website. Furthermore, since it is in the heart of the Meatpacking District, the trip is even more worthwhile, as it is a neighborhood full of good restaurants and alternative shops.
There are brand stores pop up and also charming thrift stores, plus every kind of food you can imagine. Highlight for Sarabeth, great place to have coffee or lunch.
And once in charmoso Chelsea Marketit’s worth taking a walk to the High Line, the park suspended in new Yorkright next door.
