I had a splendid dinner at Kinoshita, a Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant in Vila Nova Conceição. With a refined atmosphere, it has had a star for six years, and specializes in cuisine Kappô, a traditional style of Japanese cuisine, which values precision cuts, seasonal ingredients and impeccable presentation. Michelin-starred Japanese in Vila Nova Conceição
The Kinoshita restaurant has maintained a tradition of Japanese cuisine since the 70s, when it was one of the most iconic places in the Liberdade neighborhood, an eastern stronghold in the city of São Paulo. Founded by immigrant Toshio Kinoshita, the house underwent a transformation and currently operates in Vila Nova Conceição under new management. But certainly preserving the memory of Japanese immigration to Brazil, and bringing contemporary trends in Japanese gastronomy. The environment is elegant, with lots of glass and wood, and in addition to the counter, there is also the Krug Room, a friendly private room, ideal for small groups.

Our dinner was paired with special sakes, which went very well with the Emperor’s Menu, offered on the occasion. There were 9 steps, between hot dishes and the best cuts of the season. We start with the Moru Kai Wagyu, a mussel confit with wagyu fat, sherry vinegar, shisso pesto and fleur de sel. There was a selection of sushi, shrimp tempura, sashimi, temakis, yaimons (grilled), among other delicacies. Additionally, Kinoshita’s omakase menu changes seasonally.
