This weekend I put my foot in the jackfruit! Tomorrow, return to the world on the exercise bike to burn off your Sunday calories!!!
Pizza in a conventional oven has some rules that make all the difference:
*Preheat the oven to maximum temperature for 40 minutes before baking (to match the temperature of wood-fired ovens);
*Use the lowest rack in the oven to bake the pizza.
Let’s get to the recipe (yields a medium pizza – for two people who eat a lot!).
Massa:
3 cups of flour;
100 ml of water;
1 tablespoon of instant yeast;
1 teaspoon of sugar;
2 tablespoons of olive oil;
1 tablespoon (dessert) salt;
2 tablespoons skimmed milk powder.
Mix everything until it doesn’t stick to your hands, if necessary add more flour or more water. Let it rest covered by a cloth in a dry place for half an hour. Grease the pan that will go in the oven with plenty of olive oil, roll out the dough with your hands on it, making a higher edge and leave it for another half hour to rest (I placed it on top of the stove with the oven hot).
Place to bake (oven at maximum temperature) on the lowest oven rack for 8 minutes (this may vary depending on the oven). Remove the dough, add the topping of your choice and return to the oven just to melt the cheese and brown (keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking).
Next up is Corn & Bacon, but only after a really light week!!!!
