Jamie Oliver’s Asparagus – Panelaterapia

Jamie Oliver’s Asparagus

Sauces and Salads

Recipe from the book “Jamie at Home“, I made some modifications: I washed a portion of fresh asparagus, cut off about two centimeters from the end of the stem (which is the most fibrous part). I dipped it in boiling salted water for 3 minutes. I heated the electric barbecue grill and added the asparagus without any seasoning. After grilling, I drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkled with gourmet salt (granulated). Jamie’s recipe also drizzled with lemon, but I wanted it very simple. It’s delicious!

To accompany it, I made Farfalle with Dijon mustard sauce and grilled Maminha. I cooked the farfalle in the asparagus cooking water. I sautéed onion in butter until it was transparent, added a spoonful of Dijon mustard (I used the one with grains), 1 spoonful of lemon juice, instead of cream I used light ricotta cream, seasoned with salt and white pepper. I adjusted the texture with a little milk to make it less thick.

PS: Asparagus is rich in folic acid and is a great diuretic (cleans the urinary system), but don’t be alarmed if your urine has a strong smell, it’s a normal reaction that occurs in the body of 40% of people who consume it.
