I always keep my herb pots. This weekend I bought it already planted for R$2.50 at the supermarket. They don’t last long, but you can have fresh herbs in the kitchen for at least 3 months. One of my favorites is Sálvia so I decided to make it Gnocchi with Sage Butter Sauce or as they say in Italy: Gnocchi with Butter and Sage.

This sauce is very simple and about a year ago it started to be popular in cool restaurants, after all it is truly divine!
I made the gnocchi with my usual recipe (revenue here). Before putting it to boil, I put a large frying pan on the fire with about 100g of butter (don’t panic as most of it will remain in the pan and then on the plate), 8 Sage leaves and a whole clove of garlic that I just peeled it and crushed it with the knife).
The butter should melt over low heat, it should foam and start to turn golden. At this point you turn off the heat, remove the garlic clove and cook the gnocchi. Take them out of the pan and throw them in the butter with sage. And ready! Just serve with plenty of parmesan.
O butter sauce with sage can be used in any pasta. Although it’s not very photogenic (let’s face it, right?), believe me, it’s wonderful.
