  • 125 g unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 ovo
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 and 3/4 cup wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 300 g chopped semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

NOTE: in the case of chocolate cookies, add 1/4 cup of chocolate powder

How to make?

Start by mixing the butter with the brown sugar, normal sugar and vanilla essence. If you want to make chocolate cookies, this is when you should add the chocolate powder.

The next step is the eggs. They must be beaten and added little by little to the mixture.

Then, now it’s time to add the flour, also little by little, mixing well. You can choose to mix either by hand or with a planetary mixer.

To finish the preparation, add the yeast and mix gently, just to incorporate it into the dough. The chopped chocolate also comes into play at this final moment, and should only be mixed gently, so that it doesn’t melt in the mixture.

Protect the shape with baking paper and roll into small balls. They must be spaced apart from each other to prevent the cookies from sticking together when they grow. Now just put it in the preheated oven at 250° C. Leave it to bake for between 15 and 20 minutes.
